I very seldom post videos on my site, especially videos I didn't create. And anyone who knows me knows I am far too cynical to enjoy glurge. But this video doesn't fit into that category. It's genuinely uplifting and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. It's only 5½ minutes long; so put on your headphones or turn up your speakers and enjoy!
This video comes from the Playing For Change project, an organization attempting to bring about peace awareness through music. This particular song, "Stand By Me", was recorded in 35 countries by street musicians who never met each other, but were nevertheless able to sing and perform together through the magic of multi-track recording on a laptop! Not only is the novelty interesting, but the arrangement and performance is easily the best-ever of this song.
