As a busy professional with a full calendar, I wanted to post that calendar on my web site—but it took too long to update it frequently.
That's why I wrote the HTML Calendar Maker. This program interfaces with both Microsoft Outlook 2000 (where I keep my professional and personal calendars) and Microsoft FrontPage 2000 (the tool I use to maintain this web site). It takes the appointments from Outlook, formats them into HTML table instructions, and plants them into the page I'm editing in FrontPage.
I also needed a daily calendar for my church's web site. Solution: same program, with a little modification.
And so, now I share that program with you.
To use HTML Calendar Maker you must have already installed Microsoft Outlook 2000 and Microsoft FrontPage 2000. (HTML Calendar Maker will probably work with later versions of those programs as well, but those are the ones I tested with.) HTML Calendar Maker works by taking appointment information from your Microsoft Outlook calendar folder (or folders), and formatting it into a calendar table in the current FrontPage web page you are editing. You have a choice of Monthly Calendar (one event per day, allows multi-day events) or Daily Calendar (multiple events per day, no multi-day events).
This program is made freely available to the public. Drop me an email at Paul.S.Cilwa@onafoundation.org if you enjoy it or have any problems with it. Be aware that, since it is a free program, it may take me a few days to fix any problems that you may discover; but I do want to hear about them.
Remember, if you need top-quality training in Visual C++, Visual Basic, or web design including Active Server Pages, that's what I do for a living!
